He says, "INUNDATED today due to the scientific field research on the endangered species - which lives in just one place on the planet, where I am studying it and its singular habitat.. So, no edition of the Guide today. Please send everyone to TUESDAY'S edition, with its reviews of THREE new CDs and a new book (all released Tuesday), AND it's "Ticket Alerts" section with all the FESTIVALS this coming weekend!"
Those festivals include...
*** the "10th EVER" "LOS ANGELES OLD-TIME SOCIAL," L.A.'s signature event for pre-bluegrass string band music and performers, and it STARTS THURSDAY!
*** the 55th annual "TOPANGA BANJO•FIDDLE CONTEST & FOLK FESTIVAL," where the Guide's founding editor, LAWRENCE WINES, will be honored as THE 2015 "MUSIC LEGEND," a very great thing, indeed!
*** the annual "DOHENY BLUES FESTIVAL," which you can catch Saturday and still get to Topanga on Sunday.
